Prep guide before cooking:

Hericium is high in protein, low in fat and rich in minerals and vitamins. Product is in dried form.

You can use dried Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) mushrooms by grinding them into powder for tea, coffee, or smoothies, or by rehydrating and cooking them like other mushrooms.

1. Powder Form:

  • Grind and Add: Grind the dried mushrooms into a fine powder using a food processor or spice grinder.
  • Use in Beverages: Add the powder to hot water, tea, coffee, smoothies, or other beverages.
  • Add to Food: Incorporate the powder into soups, stews, gravies, or other dishes.
  • Dosage: A general guideline is to consume between 500mg to 3000mg of Lion's Mane extract per day, but this can vary.

2. Rehydrated and Cooked:

  • Rehydrate: Soak dried Lion's Mane mushrooms in water (or broth) for a few hours to rehydrate them.
  • Prepare: Once rehydrated, you can slice or tear them into bite-sized pieces.
  • Cook: Sauté, stir-fry, roast, or grill the mushrooms like other mushrooms.
  • Seasoning: Season with your favorite herbs, spices, and oils.
  • Texture: Lion's Mane mushrooms have a unique, meaty texture when cooked, sometimes compared to seafood.
  • Examples: You can add them to stir-fries, risottos, or use them as a meat alternative.
